Kalam Dawaat (a dedication)

A small poem dedicated to Bala, whose blessings meant a lot to me.

Alas! Alas! For those with knowledge of only Bengdi, must we be so marginalized that we will never ever have a translated version of either of the poems, in the language of the vilaitis?
In awe,
Julia

Julia,

'never ever' seems too extreme to me...but for the moment yes, this is the site where I'm posting my Hindi stuff. The English stuff as you know is all over the place, anyways.

In three stanzas you have given so much meaning to human relationship! Bala's blessings ,were also an expression of love and admiration for you learned ways. Yet it had hidden cravings for a learning the rote herself: a yearning of so many unfortunate ones.
There are greater blessings in your remembrances -as you give poetic expression to your fondness for her.
One of your best ones-if perceived in its deep sentiment !
